Waringstown Presbyterian
Church is about people, not buildings. Yet as our church family
grows, if you do not know anyone in the church, it can seem like
a lot of people! Small groups have the potential to transform
lives and play a vital role in connecting folk into the life of
our fellowship. We would warmly encourage all newcomers to
become involved in this ministry.
Small Groups provide an
environment where meaningful and mutually supportive
relationships can develop .They offer the an opportunity for
fellowship, the study of God’s word, discussion and prayer in an
atmosphere of openness and honesty which is not always possible
in a larger group.
Small Groups are also a
more relaxed context where those who are not Christians, or who
are unsure of their faith, and genuinely want to know more about
what it means to be a Christian, can ask questions and discuss
difficult issues.
There is a wide network
of small groups which meet twice monthly in homes in the
Waringstown, Donaghcloney, Magheralin, Dollingstown, and Moira
areas and are an ideal place to get to know each other and
become part of the church.
Wherever you are at this
time in your spiritual journey, we sincerely invite you to join
a small group and know the value of building biblical community.
