You my
brothers were called to be free, but do not use your freedom to
indulge the sinful nature; rather serve one another in love.
Gal. 5v13
As
Christians each one of us has a part to play in the ministry of
building God's kingdom. The example of the life of Christ gives
to us a clear understanding of the meaning of a servant's heart,
the fundamental paradox of the Christian life being that radical
servant hood is the sure pathway to the fullness of life.
Servant hood is the ultimate expression of our conversion.
Waringstown Presbyterian Church is a volunteer intensive church,
embracing the biblical principle of the priesthood of all
believers within an “every member ministry” policy.
There
are at present seventeen ministry
teams which offer opportunities for service in many areas
and we would welcome your help in further developing and
sustaining these teams.
However little time you can offer, come with an open mind and
willing heart and God can use you to make a difference.
Please
speak to
Rev. McConnell or your Elder if you desire
to be linked into service.
Network Ministry
Vision
Statement
To enable believers to understand how God has uniquely created
them and help them be fruitful and fulfilled in a meaningful
place of service.
Our
church family is growing and the potential we have to serve God
and make a Kingdom difference is great. As our numbers increase
and our vision broadens we need to maximize our ministry
effectiveness and carefully steward the human resources God has
entrusted to us. Gift-based ministry is a means to realise our
ministry potential.
The
goal of the Network course is to help believers to be fruitful
and fulfilled in a meaningful place of service and purposes to
place the right people in the right places for the right
reasons.
In
this four week course you are helped to discover your spiritual
gifts and gain a clearer understanding of how God has uniquely
designed you. Examining the biblical nature and purpose of the
church as the body of Christ, this interactive course helps you
to discern where you are best suited to serve.
With a
greater understanding of who God has made you to be and the
purpose that He has for your life, you will be better equipped
to serve in a way that will make a Kingdom difference for
eternity. There is great joy in knowing God's pleasure as you
see others blessed through your personal ministry.
